Shan Translation ("Shan Translation", "we", "us" or "our") offers professional translation, transcription, data entry, desktop publishing, typing, subtitling, digitizing and proofreading services at a fee agreed by you prior to any commencement of work. It is assumed that you as the buyer of the above said services have reviewed the quotation and clearly understood the deliverable's before affecting the actual purchase of said service.

In case a term is not defined in this Customer Refund Policy then the definitions set out in the Terms and conditions shall apply.

You acknowledge and agree that, by using Shan Translation, you are indicating that you have read and that you understand and agree to be bound by the terms of this customer refund policy.

This Customer Refund Policy applies where (a) a Customer Orders a Translation; (b) such Customer pays for the Translation; (c) we confirm the Order and (d) the Customer either does not receive the Translation or the Translation quality is not human translation. Each Customer hereby agrees that any decisions we make in relation to the application of this Customer Refund Policy, or the amounts (including partial amounts) we reimburse are at our sole discretion, and such decisions are final and binding on the relevant Customer.

In order for you as a Customer to be able to claim under this Customer Refund Policy, you must:

a. Advise us by e-mail (at languages@shantranslation.com) within one month of you receiving the document. We are open for reviewing of the document anytime post you receive the document. Additions won’t be made but review can always be done.

b. In case of quality issue, we would review the document at our end and give the same to second translator for proofreading. In case of our default we would either refund the amount or provide with the new document depending upon the choice of the customer.


1. We have a policy of refunding the amount immediately after receiving the refund request if we have agreed on the terms of refund. The refunded amount can also be kept in the customer’s account which can be used for other services by the client in next 30 days. Post 30 days it will be credited back to the client. 

2. Refunds for any project due to cancellation ordered by the client, can be as follows:

2.1) The portion of charges for work already performed is not refundable.

2.2) Should Shan Translation receive a cancellation request prior to the completion of an order, the charges for the portion of work not yet performed may be refundable.

Limitation of Liability 

Shan Translation Pte. Ltd. has a policy of limiting to the extent of the cost attached to the translation document. Beyond the translation document, we do not hold any liability. In case of processing a refund, the refund amount will be limited only to the amount paid by the client for the document.


There can be cases of human frailty due to which we may consider our penalty policy. Our penalty policy will include penalty upto 30%. We might change or add or modify the Customer Refund Policy at any time without prior notice. It is your responsibility to periodically check this Customer Refund Policy for changes.
